We are searching for a new full-time Fitter to assist our fast-paced welding and fabrication department.
General Responsibilities
- Use a Chop Saw, Angle Grinder, Table Saw, and Hydraulic Sheer to cut metal.
- Cut, grind, sand, and clean aluminum welded parts
- Measure product accurately to reduce waste
- Deburs all sharp metal edges throughout the work
- Determines metals needed, welding methods, and all particulars of requested jobs if not previously accounted for
- Read blueprints/ sketches and use shop mathematics
- Maintains a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and safety, to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain great attention to detail
- Ensure area cleanliness
Required Qualifications
- Experience safely using a Chop Saw, Angle Grinder, Table Saw, Hydraulic Shear, and other welding materials
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and blueprints
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work
- Safely operate equipment to meet production requirementss
